    1. Setup: Fill your humidifier tank with distilled water and place the Pink Oyster block in your Lykyn Grow Chamber. Make sure the humidifier vent is unobstructed, leaving space for your mushrooms to grow.

    2. Sterilize: Flame sterilize a razor or knife, then allow it to cool.

    3. Slice: Cut a small “X” on the side of the bag where you want your mushrooms to fruit.

    4. Select: Place the chamber top back on and choose “Pink Oyster” from the Lykyn App.

    5. Relax: Your chamber will handle humidity and airflow—simply sit back and enjoy the show.


    When It’s Ready to Harvest

    Your Pink Oysters are ready when:

    • The caps are fully open and edges are just starting to curl upward.

    • The color is bright and vibrant pink.
      Pick them early for a firmer texture. If you wait a day, they will have a deeper flavor. Either way, they grow quickly. Check them every day once they start pinning.


    How to Harvest

    Use clean hands or a knife to gently twist or cut the entire cluster away from the block at the base. Avoid damaging the remaining mycelium so it can regrow for additional flushes.


    How to Store

    • Fresh: Keep in a paper bag in the refrigerator.

    • Shelf Life: 4–6 days fresh, or several months if dried.

    • Tip: Pink Oysters are delicate—handle gently and avoid sealing in airtight containers.


    Cooking Tips

    Pink Oysters can be cooked much like bacon, shrimp, or scallops—sautéed, roasted, or grilled:

    1. Dry sauté first to remove moisture and intensify flavor.

    2. Once water evaporates, add oil or butter and cook until golden and slightly crisp.

    3. Finish with salt, soy sauce, or herbs for a rich, umami-packed dish.
