What happens if Lykyn shuts down?
Your grow keeps running. Once you select a species preset in the Lykyn app, the preset is written to your device’s non-volatile memory. The chamber runs that preset independently - no Wi-Fi, no app, no Lykyn cloud needed. We don’t plan to shut down, but we built the product so that outcome can’t brick your unit.
Do I have to use the Lykyn app forever?
You use the app once per grow cycle to select a species preset and when you want to switch species. Preset selection requires the app and internet (it pulls profile data from the cloud). Once selected, the chamber runs autonomously from its own memory - app closed, phone off, internet down, it keeps going.
