The horizontal shelf that separates the two growing chambers inside every Lykyn Double Layer unit. Order it on its own when yours arrives damaged, gets lost during a move, or when you want to keep a spare next to the chamber. The same shelf fits both the Obsidian Black and Bone White chambers.

What it is

One horizontal panel, cut and finished to sit inside the mid-level guides of a Lykyn Double Layer chamber. Same part we install in every Double Layer unit at the workshop, sold on its own as a spare.

Material and finish

Matches the material and finish of every Lykyn chamber's interior wall. Wipes clean with a damp cloth. Handles the humidity cycle inside the chamber without warping or staining.

How to install

Slides into the mid-level guides on the interior side panels. Seat it flat, place your second block on top, close the door. No tools required.

Compatibility

If you own a Lykyn Double Layer chamber

The shelf drops straight into the mid-level guides. Use it as a replacement for a damaged panel or keep one on hand as a spare next to the unit.

If you own a Lykyn Single Layer chamber

This shelf on its own is not enough to convert a Single Layer into two levels. You need the full Lykyn Stack Extension Kit, which adds the vertical slats, side panels, sealing strips, and slider door as well.

What does the mid-level shelf do?

Adds an intermediate growing surface between the base and the top tier of a Lykyn chamber. Useful when you are growing smaller-yielding species and want to fit two blocks in a space normally used for one, or when the second block is short enough to clear the tier above.

Which chambers is the mid-level shelf compatible with?

The Lykyn Smart Mushroom Grow Box in single-tier and double-tier configurations. It clips into the same rails as the standard growing shelves; no drilling or hardware changes required.

Can I grow two species stacked on the mid-level shelf and base?

Yes, provided the species share a similar humidity range. Pink Oyster on one shelf and Lion's Mane on the other is a common pairing. Species with mismatched temperature needs fruit better in separate cycles.

How much weight does the shelf hold?

More than a fully hydrated fruiting block ever weighs. You will not run into a weight limit under normal use. The shelf is rated well above the practical growing load.

What material is it made of?

Food-safe polymer with a matte finish that matches the chamber interior. Wipe-clean between grow cycles; no special maintenance.

Does the shelf block the light or airflow?

No. The shelf geometry leaves the airflow path clear and does not shadow the tier below. LED coverage reaches both surfaces.
